I can't seem to turn down the brightness on my laptop after the Windows 11 update. I've tried going to display in settings. I turned off the auto-brightness under Personalization in Settings. My FN keys work for everything else but the brightness. I went under ControlPanel>Power and nothing was there. There is nothing under the mini menu for wifi, sounds, etc. My screen is stuck at max brightness and I cannot turn it down, please help!!

Hi, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m happy to help.

What is the make and model of your device?

In the search bar, type MSINFO32 and hit Enter.

Please share a screenshot of that window.

In the meantime, please try the following:

Roll back, use an older driver, or uninstall the Display driver:

a. Press the Windows key + X, and choose Device Manager.

b. Expand Display Adapters

c. Right-click on your display driver, and select 'properties'

d. Click the driver tab then hit 'Roll back driver'.

e. If the issue persists, repeat steps a-c then select 'Update driver.'

f. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"

g. Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer."

h. Select an older driver from the list and click 'Next.'

i. Follow the onscreen instructions.

j. if the problem continues, repeat a-c and hit uninstall device

k. Restart your computer(not shutdown) then check if you can now turn down brightness.
