Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
Microsoft Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with the account.
The core of the problem is that the new email address was set up as a separate Microsoft account instead of being added as an alias to your existing account. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to merge two distinct Microsoft accounts.
Here’s how you can resolve it:
- Remove the unwanted account: You’ll need to sign in to the extra account you created and remove it from your subscription.
- Add the email as an alias: Once removed, you can add that email address as an alias to your main Microsoft account. This way, it will count under your subscription without using an extra login.
Make sure you’re using the “Invite via email” option rather than creating a new Microsoft account, this keeps all users consolidated under your subscription.
