It shows it opening and closing an envelope for about a minute and then says something has gone wrong, the full error Is: <PII Removed>

If I then select troubleshoot sometimes I get the following, sometime nothing:

Outlook Error

I have tried rebooting machine and running again many times but still not working. It did work before this happened.

As a result of last comment I search around and found how to reset the new outlook.

    the command is: olk.exe --clearLocalState

You then run the new outlook as normal and it asks you to your enter the email servers password and you can at this point check the details and if required change and of the details on how to connect to your email providers server.

this has worked and everything is now OK

Hello! Before performing any solutions, I need to ask a few questions:

    1. Has Outlook worked on your computer before, or is this your first time using it?
    2. Is your Outlook account a Personal, Corporate, or Student account?
    3. Is your account on a domain other than @outlook.com or @hotmail.com, such as @gmail.com or @businessname.com?
    4. Does the problem occur in Outlook Classic?
    5. Is your computer a corporate or personal one?

    Tests you can perform:

    Hello!

Outlook may not have all permissions on the Non-Administrative User Account. Try changing the User Account to Administrator and see if the problem persists.

    • Go to Settings > Accounts > Other Users.

If the problem is resolved, it means there's a permissions issue. If you want to use the Non-Administrative user account, change the user account again and try reinstalling Outlook only on the Non-Administrative User Account.

    1. Open Windows Settings (Press WINDOWS + I keys) > Select "Applications" > "Installed Applications".
    2. Search for New Outlook > Click ●●● > Uninstall > Wait for the program to be uninstalled > Restart your computer.
    3. Install Outlook again.
