It always seems like you are behind the curve on upgrades if you wait. You upgrade & w/i 6 mnths to a yr after the required upgrade the next version comes out ''

This is relevant with windows 10 support expiring. Windows 7 came out in 2009 and support ended in 2020 , windows 10 came out in 2015 and support ending in 2025, windows 11 came out in 2021 and so we should expect support will end around 2031. Also we should expect a new windows coming in the next year. If you are just now upgrading to windows 11 you will only have 6 years until support ends all while its likely a new windows will come out next year so in just a years time your new windows will already be old. Its too bad they didn't wait until 12 comes out to end support for 10.

There is no suggestion there will be Windows 12 and Microsoft certainly haven't made any statement about it.

Windows 11 will continue with the next version 25H2, possibly in October. Whenever it is ready.

There has been no talk of a Windows 12, 25H2 is available now at the software download site:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

It is also available in Windows Update, just did one of my machines using W.U.
