Hi all-Thanks for all the help. Unfortunately nothing worked. I ended up with MS support chat for 4 grueling hours trying to fix just one of my pc's. We ended up having to reinstall win11 on all of my PC's. I did not lose any of my files! Just had to reinstall a few apps. But the good news is I can use my office 365 subscription again!!

Error 2604 is a known issue that occurs when you have recently changed your password for your Microsoft 365 account, and it affects the ability to sign in to Office apps.

Please try to connect the PC to mobile hotspot with cellular data.

That error usually points to a cached credentials or Office activation glitch rather than your actual network — try signing out of Office completely, clear credentials via Windows Credential Manager, then restart and sign back in; if it persists, running a Quick Repair from Apps & Features → Microsoft 365 often fixes error 2604.

    Hello!

This error indicates a network issue on your device. Corrupted network settings, modem or internet issues, disabled TLS 1.2, or third-party applications could be causes.

Check if TLS 1.2 is enabled.

    1. Press Windows + S > Search for Internet Options > Click the icon > Click the Advanced tab > Under Security, select TLS 1.2.
    2. Another solution is to test another network. Try logging into Office using a different network/Wi-Fi. You can connect your phone's internet (mobile data) via hotspot or USB tethering (connect a USB cable to your phone and computer and enable the USB tethering option).
    3. Another alternative is to restart your internet modem. Turn off the modem, wait 1 minute, and then turn it back on.
