Purchased Office Home 2024 but still shows as Office 365

I purchased Microsoft Home 2024 and while trying to install, it references Microsoft 365. I am hesitant to continue. Why is this referencing Microsoft 365?

Hi ,

Do you have an active Office 365 subscription?

If you purchased Office Home 2024, if you log in with an account with an Office 365 subscription, it will remain with Office 365 until your subscription ends it will remain as Office 2024.

If you don't have an Office 365 subscription, you only have the Office 2024 you purchased.

Uninstall Office completely

Download Office 2024 Home: https://officecdn.microsoft.com/db/492350F6-3A01-4F97-B9C0-C7C6DDF67D60/media/en-US/HomeBusiness2024Retail.img

After the download is complete, disconnect from the internet > right click > select Mount > go to Windows Explorer > My Computer > select the Office icon > right click > open > Go to the office folder > Go to setup64.exe

    Thank you. Once I uninstalled the Mocrosoft 365 that came with the computer, I was able to install the Office 2024.
