PC keeps crashing (kernel-power 41 / 0x8000400000000002)

Hey,

I've been getting a hard crash on my pc for a while randomly were i can hear a stuttering sound before the screen either just freezes or go black but the audio continues for like 10-15 sec before a longer stutter sound starts for 1-2 sec and then my pc restarts by itself. Now i've tried many different solutions from google but nothing helps this problem (reinstalling both new and older graphic drivers).

Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Using DDU to clean the graphics drivers may result in the new monitor not being detected until the drivers are reinstalled. The dmp file still indicates that the graphics driver or the graphics card is causing the crash.

-Try to clean install an older version of the graphics driver.

-If the issue began after connecting a new display, it may be linked to display connection issues. Try to reseat the Display/HDMI cable.

If a display utility software is installed. Temporarily uninstall them

-Try to reseat the graphics card and power supply cables.

-If none of these work. I recommend reaching out to the graphics card manufacturer's support or a professional computer repair service to conduct further hardware diagnostics to figure out what’s failing.

    Im happy to say that i think the problem is solved, i think the problem was the cables connected that i didn't use that might have driven the graphic driver nuts, thank you so much for your time and help

    Hi, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. The dmp files indicate that the crash is caused by the Nvidia graphics driver. These issues are most likely due to driver pr hardware problems. Try the following steps.

    • If you are overclocking your CPU or have XMP/DOCP enabled, reset your BIOS settings to their optimal defaults.
    • Clean and install the Nvidia graphics drivers. Download the latest driver from the manufacturer's support site. Run the driver installer. Select Custom Install and perform a clean install. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer. If that didn't work, use DDU to clean the graphics driver in Safe Mode.
    • Download and reinstall the chipset drivers. Download the drivers directly from your motherboard's support website.
    • Make sure all power cables and PCIe cables are connected properly. When you connect the power cables to the graphics card, you should hear or feel a click as they snap into place, ensuring a solid connection.
    • The sudden shutdown event or kernel 41 can also indicate a hardware issue related to motherboard or a power supply related problem.
