Since win 11 has been installed I can no longer get my web cam to work. Panel on screen is either flashing or just white.

Hello!

Did you install Windows 11 directly from Windows 10, or did you perform a clean install using installation media?

Where did you test the webcam? Did you use the Windows Camera app?

Is your webcam external or internal?

Is your computer a laptop or desktop?

What is your computer's manufacturer and model, and is it a Windows 11 build?

  • Press WINDOWS + R > Type "winver" (no quotes) > Send me a screenshot.
  • Press WINDOWS + R > Type "msinfo32" > In System Summary, send me a screenshot.

If your computer is a laptop, check the F1, F2, F3... through F12 keys to see if there is a camera icon. If so, press the key and see if the webcam is recognized.

  • Try pressing FN + the webcam key.

Some laptops have a webcam privacy protector. Check if the protector is blocking the webcam.
