Hi,

I have changed my email adresse in my son's Microsoft account (our Internet Service Provider block every Microsoft emails... even in spams folder) and defined the new one as "Main" and delete the previous one

But the website keep sending the authentification code to the previous email adress...

Any advice ?

Hello. Changing the main alias doesn’t update where Microsoft sends your security codes. You’ll need to manually change the verification destination.

Do this:

  1. Go to https://account.live.com/proofs/manage and sign in.
  2. Under “Security info,” check if the old email still appears. If it does, select “Remove.”
  3. Add your new email address or a phone number, then mark it as the default verification option.
  4. Visit https://account.live.com/SignInPreferences and make sure the new email is selected for sign-in.

Sign out everywhere, wait about an hour, then sign back in, codes should now go to the updated address.
