Hi,
This usually happens when Windows or a connected device is preventing the system from completing the sleep transition. Here’s a simple rundown you can try: first, open Command Prompt as administrator and type powercfg /requests , this shows if any apps, drivers, or devices are actively blocking sleep (like USB devices, audio streams, or network adapters). If something appears there, you can close or disable it. Next, open Device Manager, go to Network adapters, select your active adapter, open Power Management tab, and uncheck “Allow this device to wake the computer.” Do the same for your mouse and keyboard. It’s also good to install the latest chipset and graphics drivers, since outdated ones can freeze the sleep process. Finally, try disabling hybrid sleep under Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced settings > Sleep > Allow hybrid sleep > Off.
To help narrow things down, when you put your PC to sleep, do you notice the fans or hard drive slowing down for a second and then spinning back up, or do they just keep running the whole time?
Kind regards,
