I am student and joined Windows insider program on a whim, thought is was like those beta app on playstore and getting cool features early, but i chose beta first but i learned they were extremely unstable i thought of leaving, logging in to my acc clicked leave program (i had linked it from settings)but as soon as i clicked it and restarted my device and went into settings it automatically went to dev mode and said i can only leave by doing a clean install. now i screen is flashing black like with those driver issue i also updated driver manually (only graphics,WiFi,Bluetooth form dell support thingy). the problem persists even now. when and on top of that it shows this "This email address is not registered as a Windows Insider." i don't want to ruin my laptop, or make it slow since i am a CS student (Engineering). here are my current win version.Screenshot 2025-10-26 012220

please help me go back to stable build asap

do i have to perform in-place installation or will i get new patches automatically

You are now running released version v25H2 and if you don't have any issues then there is no need for in-place update/repair.

Push Win key and type regedit command. Navigate to given key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost) Right click on top WindowsSelfHost click delete. Close regedit and restart

Your build 26200.6901 is latest public build so you don't need to do anything else except delete that key. Now you are back in public Windows 11 v25H2 and you start getting normal updates for that version when MS release those.

Hi,

The Build you are on is basically a stable build.

Go to Registry Editor and delete this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost

Reboot your PC and you should be out of Insiders.
