When I copy a link from a website into WORD, it doesn't open and there's a popup that says

"Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action".

Please advise why I'm getting this notice and how to fix it, as I am not a business owner, I'm a individual home user.

Please let me know.

    The info on your link does not apply to me. I did not uninstall anything recently and this issue ONLY applies to the Microsoft WORD program. I purchased this package very recently and need this function to work asap.

    Note that the information in the article at https://www.slipstick.com/problems/this-operation-has-been-cancelled-due-to-restrictions/ applies to all Office programs. The underlying problem may be caused by uninstalling a browser, but that isn't necessarily the cause, as the article also says.

    Did you actually try the suggestions in the article?
