Issues with Bing Places for Business

When I sign in to Bing Places for Business it tells me that the latest verification pin has expired. It then sends me to a chat that sits there for hours and never initiates a conversation even though it appears I'm next in line. I have no other way to get the issue resolved and my business website sits unpublished with no resolution. Any advice?

Hello Heather Dohman, thanks for posting this in our community.

It sounds like you're running into a common issue with Bing Places. Sometimes the verification page fails to respond properly due to cached scripts or browser interference. I recommend opening Bing Places in an incognito or private window, clearing your browser cache and cookies, and making sure JavaScript is enabled. Also, try disabling any browser extensions like ad blockers that might interfere with the page.

If your PIN has expired, log in to the Bing Places Dashboard, select your business listing, and look for the option to request a new PIN. If that option is unavailable or greyed out, the next best step is to bypass the chat system, which many users have reported as non-functional.

Instead, use the Bing Places Support Contact Form. Sign in, select your region, and submit your issue there. Microsoft typically follows up via email, which helps avoid the delays caused by the broken chat queue.

Hope this helps

Kind regards,

John Oli
