Hello i am trying to make a powerpoint, in doing so i have used the design features which have cropped some images into circles. But when i reload they revert back to their original shapes and i have to recreate the entire thing again, also some of my images have decided that they cant be displayed after having no issues previously furthermore it will not let me save as the project despite doing everything it recommends. also when i reload it it doesnt allow for me to use the design ideas until i have made a copy of the powerpoint

Thanks for clarifying. Since you’re using the Windows desktop version and can’t save to OneDrive, the issue could be with file permissions, OneDrive syncing, or file corruption.

First, make sure Office is fully updated via File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. Try saving the file locally on your PC in a simple folder like Documents. Check that OneDrive is running and signed in, and that you have enough storage and proper permissions. If the file still won’t save or images revert, I recommend creating a new blank presentation and importing your slides via Home > New Slide > Reuse Slides to avoid corruption, then save the new file locally.

Hi, that sounds frustrating. Are you using PowerPoint through the desktop app or the web version?

This helps know where the issue is coming from. When images revert or fail to display and saving doesn’t work, I suggest checking for the latest Office updates, signing out and back into your Microsoft 365 account, and saving the file directly to your computer or OneDrive with a stable connection. If Design Ideas don’t appear until you copy the file, clear temporary files under File > Options > Save, then restart PowerPoint.
