Hi Jeff Carlisle, thanks for posting. If you saved a transcript of your Microsoft Support chat session and need to reference the ticket number, here’s how you can try locating it:
First, check your email inbox, especially the one linked to your Microsoft account. Microsoft usually sends a copy of the chat transcript or a confirmation email with the case number after the session ends. Look for subject lines like “Microsoft Support,” “Case ID,” or “Support Request.”
Second, if you downloaded or saved the transcript manually, check your Downloads folder, Documents, or wherever you typically save files. If you copied it into a document, try searching your PC for keywords like “Microsoft,” “support,” or “transcript.”
Third, you can visit support.microsoft.com and sign in with the account used during the support session. From there, go to View support requests to check if the case is still listed under your account.
If you still can’t find it, you can contact Microsoft Support again and provide any details you remember (such as the approximate date or issue discussed). They may be able to locate the case number for you.
If this helps, feel free to mark the answer as accepted so others can find it too.
Best,
Carl
