Cannot open Microsoft Edge.

Internet and emails both ok.

Ran the usual sfc/dism/check disk. No problems there. Edge in programs, apps, default apps, and all seem ok.

Did a repair/install Windows 11, thinking that would fix problem, but no.

Windows update 7036, previously installed 29/10/25, again installed today 2/11/25

Cumulative update 24H2 previously installed, also reinstalled 2/11/25

Windows preview update 7036 installed 29/10/25, again installed 2/11/25(3 times, but only shows once in update history).

I think it must be a problem in the Edge browser settings.

Possible to uninstall/reinstall Edge? I believe it can be done, but with difficulty

Clues anyone?

It is strange if a Windows in-place repair did not resolve the problem, from the link below, download the Edge installer and use that to re-install Edge on top of the existing installation to test if that resolves the problem.
