I created a Family Safety account, created 2 accounts 2 of my sons. My 3rd son already had an account. I’m trying to add him under my account, I go through all the confirmation steps, and it says he’s already there. I’ve given it four days and it is still not visible. Thank you.

Hi there. I can see you completed the add steps and it keeps saying he is already in the family, yet he does not show up. The usual cause is a mismatch between account types or profile details, so the system flags the join as complete, but the member stays hidden.

Lets try a few quick checks. Confirm your son is using a personal microsoft account, not a school or work account. Open his account’s profile and make sure the birthdate and region are set correctly and age based consent is completed if required.

In Family Safety on the web and the mobile app, check if the view is filtered to organizers only and switch to show all members. Ask him to sign in to account.microsoft.com and verify he accepted the invite from the same alias you sent to, not a different email alias. If you manage multiple family groups, ensure you are looking at the right group. Try a clean browser session by clearing cache or using Inprivate, then refresh family safety. A few questions to help pinpoint this. Is he using a school or work account. Did he accept the invite on the same email you sent. What is his age on the account and region. Do you have more than one family group.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the Family Safety feature where your third son’s account is not appearing under your family group despite being confirmed. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Account Status: Ensure that your third son is indeed signed in with a Microsoft account and that it is the same one you are trying to add to the family group.
    2. Refresh Family Group: Sometimes, changes may take a little while to reflect. You can try logging out and back into your Microsoft account or refreshing the Family Safety settings.
    3. Visit Family Safety Portal: Go to the Family Safety portal at family.microsoft.com to see if his account appears there. This can sometimes provide more insight into the account's status.
    4. Re-invite: If the account still does not show up, you might consider removing the account and then re-inviting him to the family group.
    5. Contact Support: If the issue persists, reaching out to Microsoft Support may be necessary for further assistance.

These steps should help you resolve the visibility issue with your son's account in Family Safety.
