A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data
Hi @tburlington,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on your sharing, the dialog in your screenshot indicates that there is/are circular reference(s) in your Excel file. This error happens when you use formulas that refers back to its own cell in either directly or indirectly, leading to an endless loop when calculating.
To track which formulas are having circular references issue, you can follow these steps:
- Press OK to close the dialog box first
- Then go to Formulas tab > Formula Auditing > Error checking > Circular references
- Excel will list all the cells involved in circular references. You can click each listed cell to jump directly to it and modify the formula correctly.
I hope the information provided proves useful. Please proceed with the outlined steps and let me know whether they resolve the issue. If not, I’ll be glad to continue working with you to find a solution.
Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out at any time.
I look forward to hearing from you.
