My Microsoft Rewards are suspended for no reason at all

Today I just tried to check my Microsoft Rewards points, but then I realized that I had been suspended for some reasons. I don't really know what happened, and I need it back. I tried to investigate what happened in rules and regulations.

I suspect this rule regarding multiple account logged in one household since the Bing account is different from Microsoft Rewards account.

If you guys think this is the issue, what to do next?

Bing | Microsoft Rewards
Bing | Microsoft Rewards

A program that grants points for using Bing search, which users can redeem for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, or charitable donations.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above, there are several possibilities or reasons as the system might likely flagged an activity as suspicious and this includes in redeeming or other activities in Microsoft Rewards. These systems are designed to prevent fraud and abuse, and they often trigger when but not limited to:

Multiple accounts use the same device, IP address, or Wi-Fi network.

Phone numbers are reused for multiple accounts.

Multiple redemptions or orders are placed in a short time.

Accounts appear identical/similar or behave or has the same patterns that mimic fraudulent activity.

What can be done to avoid this kind of scenario:

Separate Devices and check connected Networks

  • As much as possible, use different devices for your account and for the other member/s of the family.
  • Ensure that you are not using a proxy or a VPN service.

Use Unique Phone Numbers

  • Treat each Microsoft Rewards account will have a unique, verifiable phone number.
  • As much as possible, do not reuse the same number across accounts. If needed, use another number only if it is not in use with another Microsoft Rewards account.

Space Out Your Redemptions

  • As much as possible, avoid submitting multiple gift card orders in a single day across accounts to ensure that this will not be tagged as a unusual behavior.

Kindly take note that, if the system flags unusual or different behavior on ones account it will be a violation of the Microsoft Rewards Terms of Service which can get an account to be suspended or be banned. You may submit a ticket via https://rewards.bing.com/support for this to get checked internally by the rewards team and you might need to use a different account (in the event that the form is grayed out from your account) and let the relevant team know on what happened. Response times may vary due to workload or other tasks at hand, but rest assured that they will review your case and let you know on the outcome.

If your Microsoft Rewards account is suspended, it could be due to various reasons, including violations of the program's terms or potential issues with multiple accounts in one household. Here are steps you can take to address the situation:

    1. Check Your Account Status: Ensure that your account information is complete and up to date. Sometimes, incomplete profiles can lead to suspensions.
    2. Review the Rules: Familiarize yourself with the Microsoft Rewards program rules to identify any potential violations that may have led to the suspension.
    3. Contact Support: If you believe the suspension was a mistake or if you need clarification on the issue, reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They can provide specific details about why your account was suspended and guide you on how to resolve it.
    4. Avoid Multiple Accounts: If you suspect that having multiple accounts is the issue, consider consolidating your accounts or ensuring that you are compliant with the program's policies regarding account usage.

Taking these steps should help you understand the reason for the suspension and how to potentially reinstate your account.
