Hi there,

I have a personal M365 account, which gives me 1TB of storage for each of the personal accounts in my subscription.

On my main account, my OneDrive storage is nearing 1TB, and I want to transfer some old files (images, videos, and docs) to another personal account in my subscription, which is hardly used.

I have noted that I cannot add the other personal account to my Windows OneDrive app, as it can not have two personal accounts linked.

Is there any other way I can move my files from personal account A to personal account B without downloading them to my laptop?

Thanking you in advance.

Sigy

Hello !

AI answer is correct, but please keep in mind that with this method, you can only copy files, not entire folders. So, if you have a lot of folders with an important amount of files inside, it might be a good idea to compress them to a ZIP file beforehand.

Let me know if you have any other question !

To transfer files from one personal OneDrive account to another without downloading them to your laptop, you can use the following method:

  1. Use the OneDrive Web Interface: Sign in to your primary OneDrive account through a web browser.
  2. Select Files: Navigate to the files you want to transfer, select them, and then choose the option to share them.
  3. Share with the Other Account: Enter the email address of your second personal OneDrive account and send the share link.
  4. Access Shared Files: Log in to your second OneDrive account, and you will see the shared files in the "Shared" section.
  5. Copy Files: From the shared section, you can copy the files to your own OneDrive storage. This will effectively transfer the files from one account to the other without needing to download them to your laptop.

This method allows you to manage your storage effectively without the hassle of downloading and re-uploading files.
