Onedrive Not finding my personal vault

I recently got a new Android phone and installed Office 365 apps, including Onedrive. After logging in to my Microsoft account I opened OneDrive and looked for my existing Personal Vault, but I was presented only with setting up a new vault. How do I make OneDrive find the existing vault?

Hello Bud Tripp,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Q&A forum

When you see the prompt to "setting up" Personal Vault on your new Android phone, it does not create a new vault. It simply establishes a secure, trusted connection between that specific device and the existing vault in your cloud storage.

So, you only need to finish setting up and it will connect you to your existing vault.

After transferring from one phone to the new one, OneDrive Personal Vault refused to load my files and only wanted to "set up". I uninstalled OneDrive, reinstalled, and walla, my files were accessible.

Going through the setup process.appeared to do nothing useful. What I discovered was that the interface in OneDrive had changed and there is now a vault tab that takes me into my existing vault. I missed that change and attempted to get into my vault by clicking on the entry in My Files rather than the new Vault tab. So your answer was helpful, but not the solution.

I'm glad that you have successfully establish a connection with your vault on your Android phone.

Just a quick note: Do enable sync and keep OneDrive sync active to avoid interruption in sync.

I tried that, but it still insisted I set up new, but refused to show me my files after going through set up, again. Uninstall/reinstall worked for me.
