I was asked for a verification code for my university email. I received a link instead of a code. I entered it, performed the puzzle, and then received a message saying that it could not verify my email.

Hello abdenour ounas,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can do to resolve this issue:

Check Your Email Folders: Make sure to look in your spam or junk folder for the verification email from Microsoft. It's common for important emails to end up there.

Using the Link: It seems you received a link instead of a verification code. Make sure you followed the link correctly and completed any required steps (like solving the puzzle) accurately.

Verify Your Email Alias: Make sure that the email address you are trying to verify is the primary alias associated with your Azure account. You can check this by going to Your Info under your Microsoft Account settings.

Try Signing In Directly: Instead of waiting for a new activation or verification email, you can try directly signing into the Azure portal using your university email and password at https://ea.azure.com.

Hope this helps you get back on track!

Follow-Up Questions:

  • Can you clarify whether you've already checked your spam or junk email folders?
  • What specific link did you receive when you were asked for the verification code?
  • Do you know if your university email is set as the primary alias for your Azure account?

Hey there, abdenour ounas

Please can you try again with submitting your application for the Azure Student subscription. It could be that the verification code expired, which would be why the system couldn't verify your academic status.

Hope this helps,
Nathan
