Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Julie,
Thank you for sharing your question. I understand why it's annoying to be blocked from buying Microsoft 365 when you're the family group owner and your account's set as an adult. It's super confusing when everything looks right.
Based on my knowledge, this happens because your Microsoft account is still seen as a kid's account from how it was first set up or because of old family safety settings. Even if your birthday says you're an adult, the system might still have old rules from when you made the account.
To fix this, first, double-check your birthday at account.microsoft.com/profile to make sure it's right. Then, go to family.microsoft.com to check that you're listed as an organizer, not a child. If you still have problems, sign out of everything Microsoft, clear your browser's cache, and sign back in. If it still doesn't work, reach out to Microsoft Support and ask them to check your account status to remove any kid restrictions. Sometimes, making a new adult account or leaving and rejoining the family group as an organizer can reset things.
May I also ask if your account shows you as an organizer in the family group and if your birthday is correct in your profile? That'll help me figure out what to do next. Let me know what happens I'm here to help if you need more.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Noel
