We purchased, through Groupon, a 2024 Office program. After about 30 days it stopped working. We believe it is due to a 30 day 'time out' feature in the program that must be over ridden. How can we resolve this problem?

Groupon actually is known to sell illegal copies. Does your product name carry the word “plus” in it? They are volume license and are for organization accounts only. They cannot be resold to individual end users as it’s violating licensing terms. Check the name of the package you purchase. Volume license can get expired and require organization validation, which you cannot do as end user.

To resolve the issue with your Office program that stopped working after 30 days, you should first ensure that you have the correct version of Office installed and that your license is active. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your License: Make sure that your Office program is properly licensed. If you purchased it through Groupon, verify that the license key you received is valid and has not expired.
    2. Reactivation: If your Office program is showing as deactivated, you may need to reactivate it. You can do this by signing in with the account that is associated with your Office purchase. If you are using a work or school account, ensure that you have the appropriate license assigned.
    3. Uninstall and Reinstall: If reactivation does not work, consider uninstalling the Office program using the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter, then reinstalling it. Make sure to install the correct version that matches your Windows operating system (32-bit or 64-bit).
    4. Repair Office: You can also try repairing the Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select your Office product, and choose the Repair option.

If you continue to experience issues, you may want to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
