How do I reach a Microsoft 365 technical support live agent

I have a Microsoft 365 paid subscription. How do I reach a live technical support agent? I fill out the contact support information and it says "creating ticket" and then it just times out and says unable to create at this time.

I have spent an hour already just trying to contact Microsoft 365 support the same way I always have and nothing works. AI gives incorrect suggestions and is not helpful at all. They act like I already am a tech support agent.

Please help.

Hello, Cathy.

Log in to your personal Microsoft account on the page https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com

In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Microsoft 365 and Office" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page, enter your (the one that works) email address and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond.

Note. The chat is available during business hours and on business days according to US time.

Auto payment and my account and I was been billed on December 19, 2025. I should not have been billed the person I talked to canceled the account and said it would not be billed again. No I’ve been billed $99.
