There is no unlock function provided, that Lock function is to protect your data if your device is lost or stolen, the only way to access that device now will be to reset Windows.

If you have data on that device and do not have a backup or use OneDrive to sync your files online, try using this method to backup your files to a USB drive before resetting Windows.

Click the power icon on the Login screen.

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Command Prompt.

In Command Prompt, type Notepad.exe and press Enter.

Notepad should open,

In Notepad select File - Open.

You may then be able to use the Open File dialog like a small File Explorer window to copy out your files and folders to a USB drive.

If your laptop is showing the message "An administrator has restricted sign in" after you locked it on the Windows portal, it indicates that the device is currently disabled in Microsoft Entra ID. To resolve this issue, you will need to have an administrator enable the device. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Contact your IT administrator: Inform them that you have found your laptop and request them to enable the device in Microsoft Entra ID.
    2. Check for internet connection: Ensure that your device is connected to the internet, as this is necessary for the administrator to enable the device remotely.
    3. Follow up: After your administrator has enabled the device, you should be able to sign in normally.

If the device was deleted in Microsoft Entra ID, you may need to re-register the device. This would involve disconnecting the work or school account and then reconnecting it. However, this action typically requires administrative privileges as well.

It's important to communicate with your IT support for further assistance, especially if you are concerned about losing data.
