When is Microsoft Excel STOCK_HISTORY servers projected to be back on-line?

The stock_history function is excel has been down since Jan 1, 2026 indicating a server issue. Do you have a timeline to resolve the server issue?

I reported it via MS Support chat last night (UK) .. They confirmed a server issue (not an excel local client issue) but have no ETA on a resolution. Also the Health Service Dashboard will not show this error.
This was what I got from MS support last night .. "Unfortunately, even when the Stocks data feed is down, the Service Health Dashboard often still reports "All good." This is normal — the Stocks provider is a different backend service that Microsoft doesn't always show publicly.

For this instance, what we can do as of the moment is to wait it out as past occurrences were resolved by Microsoft silently within a few hours to within a day or two.

Many Excel users have been reporting this problem since yesterday, however, the Microsoft Service Status website does not indicate that Microsoft is aware of it.

This forum is just a user to user forum, the best solution is to select the Help menu at the top of Excel, then choose 'Send feedback' and report this problem to the Office developers.
