How to repair Spectrum email (cfl.rr.com) in Classic Outlook on my Windows PC. I started having problems with 2 different spectrum accounts i use. Can receive but not send. I deleted one account and tried to reconnect, with no success. Spectrum help chat said I need to contact "client" (in this case Outlook?).

To repair your Spectrum email (cfl.rr.com) in Classic Outlook on your Windows PC, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Account Settings: Ensure that your email account settings are correct. You can do this by going to File > Account Settings > Account Settings. Select your Spectrum account and click on Change to verify the incoming and outgoing server settings.
    2. Repair Office Application: If the settings are correct but you still can't send emails, you may need to repair your Office application. To do this:
      • Exit any Microsoft Office programs that are currently running.
      • Open Control Panel and then go to Programs and Features.
      • Find Microsoft Office in the list, right-click it, and select Repair. Follow the prompts to complete the repair process.
    3. Use the Inbox Repair Tool: If the problem persists, you can use the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) to repair your Outlook data files. To do this:
      • Exit Outlook.
      • Locate the Inbox Repair Tool on your PC and run it. You may need to browse to find your .pst file if you do not know its location.
      • Follow the prompts to repair the file.
    4. Check Antivirus Software: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with sending emails. Ensure that your antivirus is up-to-date and check if it is blocking Outlook from sending emails.
    5. Create a New Outlook Profile: If none of the above steps work, consider creating a new Outlook profile. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add. Set up your Spectrum account in the new profile and see if the issue is resolved.

If you continue to experience issues, you may want to reach out to Spectrum support for further assistance, as they may have specific settings or troubleshooting steps for their email service.
