I ran 365 Office troubleshooter earlier. It reinstalled. That was not the first time. I tried repairing too. The issues were Win11 was not reinstalled properly.

Did you do an Online repair or just respond with Repair Now or with a Quick repair? If you did not do an Online repair, I suggest doing that.

Are you able to launch Word (Safe mode) using this command?

Press Win + R, type the following command:

    winword /safe

    Click OK.

If you're experiencing issues with Microsoft Word (Winword.exe) at startup while other Office applications like Excel and Access are functioning properly, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both Windows and Office are up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.
    2. Repair Microsoft 365: Since you've already attempted to repair, make sure you followed the correct steps. You can do this by going to the Control Panel, selecting Microsoft 365, and choosing the repair option.
    3. Delete Word Data Registry Subkey: This can help if there are issues with Word's settings. You can do this by:
      • Exiting all Office programs.
      • Typing regedit in the Search box and pressing Enter.
      • Navigating to the appropriate registry subkey for your version of Word and deleting it. Make sure to back up the registry before making changes.
    4. Disable Add-ins: Sometimes, COM add-ins can cause issues. You can disable them by deleting the registry keys for the COM add-ins, which can help identify if one is causing the problem.
    5. Change Default Printer: Occasionally, issues with the default printer can affect Word's startup. Try setting Microsoft XPS Document Writer as the default printer and see if that resolves the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking the Microsoft support site for more detailed troubleshooting steps specific to your version of Word.
