Urgent: Accidentally deleted @hotmail alias – "Reserved Domain" error when trying to re-add

I accidentally removed my primary email alias (<Mod remove PII> @hotmail.com) from my Microsoft account while trying to change my sign-in preferences. Now, I am trying to add it back because I need to receive a critical verification code for a linked service (Discord).

However, I keep getting the error message: 'This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address.'

I am the original owner of this account. Is there any way for a Microsoft agent to temporarily release this 'reservation' or help me restore this alias? This happened only recently.

Unfortunately, when an outlook.com or hotmail.com address is deleted from a Microsoft account as an alias, that address is gone permanently. Microsoft doesn't reuse its own email address, so it cannot be added to created as alias for another Microsoft account.

Under the section "Remove an email address", it says: "Are you sure? If you remove an alias that's an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com), you're permanently deleting the alias and it can't be associated with any Microsoft account again."
