Transitions time is based on the time of slide appearance, not on when video or audio ends. Please ensure that the transition time is set to an amount that is longer than the length of the video.

    Hello Bill Keilt,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand you want the MP4 videos in slide auto advance to the next slide when it finishes playing.

Here is what you can set up for the video slide to auto advance:

Set the slide that have the video to auto‑advance

    • Select the slide that contains the video.
    • Go to Transitions > Timing.
    • Uncheck On Mouse Click.
    • Check After and set any short time (for example 1 to 2 seconds)

PowerPoint ignores this timing while video is playing but will advance as soon as the video ends.

Also ensure your video playback is set correctly.

Select the video > go to Playback tab to set up

    • Start set to Automatically
    • Play Full Screen
    • Don't enable loop until stopped (this prevents the slide from advancing).

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help you.
