Why are all my comments to any story on MSN news being rejected? They are all benign.

Every single time I write any comment to a news story on MSN, I get the "your comment doesn't meet community guidelines".....I have gone into my profile and I have a clear account, no negative things.

All of my comments are benign, I even tried to write a comment saying "this is an interesting story", and that was rejected? Why?

I do follow the community guidelines. How can a simple positive statement be rejected? I have read all of the guidelines and I do not fall out of them.

Why am I banned from commenting? I don't want the standard answer, I need to know exactly.

This same thing just started happening to me today. I can't even make a single, totally benign comment like 'yes' or 'no'. Every single time it says that my comment doesn't meet community guidelines, but when I check afterwards, some of the comments have been published anyhow. Something is definitely wrong, and it's not my input.

Sorry, you aren't communicating with MSN here. No one here can tell you why a comment was blocked.

There were so many unacceptable comments that commenting was shut down for a few months about a year ans a half ago.

Now that commenting is allowed again, moderation is very restrictive.

Moderation is a dysfunctional mess. It's being done via AI, via a bot, not humans and is random and inexplicable.

If a comment you tried to post was banned, you can appeal that from the Feedback link at the bottom of nearly every MSN page. This may or may not be acted on and you may or may not receive a reply. There used to be a more direct method, but that's been removed.
