I purchased Office 365 business basic for my small business- I am the owner- I am unable to edit Word docs on my mac book

I purchased Office 365 basic business to access Word, Powerpoint on my Macbook - I am unable to edit my documents in word they are view only- please advise.

    Business Basic covers only the Web and Mobile apps. It does not include the desktop programs. Microsoft 365 Business Basic
