Hi Rhoda Yates,
Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. This is happening due to the old work/school account is still registered on the device. So when you try to sign in to any Microsoft 365 work account, iOS still redirect or suggest the old tenant. Try to do these steps below in order, and let's see if it will fix the issue.
A. Remove the old work account from iOS itself.
- Settings > Mail.
- Accounts.
- Look for: Exchange Microsoft 365 Work or School account
- Tap the old college account.
- Delete Account.
B. Remove device management profiles.
- Settings > General.
- VPN & Device Management.
- If you see anything with the college name, tap it or remove management.
- If this exists, Microsoft will always try the old tenant first.
C. Sign out of Microsoft apps completely. Do this on each app, Outlook, Teams, Onedrive, etc.
- Open the app.
- Tap your profile icon.
- Sign out.
- Close the app, swipe it away.
D. Clear Safari Microsoft cookies.
- Settings > Safari.
- Advanced > Website Data.
- Search for: microsoft live.com office.com
- Delete those entries.
E. Restart Iphone.
D. Sign in the right way. Do not open Outlook first.
- Open Safari.
- Go to https://portal.office.com
- Sign in with your new work email
- Confirm it goes to the correct organization
- Only after that, open Outlook,Teams, OneDrive and sign in. This anchors the correct tenant first.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Jhun
