Ever heard of a company called M!CROSOFT?

That misspelling (which may be attempt to slip through a general spam filter) gives it all away. It's a scam. Make a hard delete on it, and click no links.

Without seeing some of the text of the email, its a bit hard to tell, however, if it contains a link you must click to perform these "updates", it is likely spam, Microsoft emails do not include links one is required to click.

To determine if the email you received is a phishing attempt, you should check the sender's email address. Legitimate emails from Microsoft support will come from specific domains such as microsoft.com, microsoftsupport.com, or mail.support.microsoft.com. If the email is from a different domain, such as M!CROSOFT, it is likely a phishing scam.

Additionally, you should be cautious with any email that contains unusual formatting or spelling errors, as these are common indicators of phishing attempts. If you suspect the email is a phishing scam, do not reply, click on any links, or open any attachments.

For further guidance on identifying and reporting phishing emails, you can refer to Microsoft's resources on phishing protection.
