OneDrive won't let me restore more than 1 file at a time

TLDR: All my OneDrive files got deleted off my PC, however they are still in the OneDrive recycle bin. The issue is I am not able to do more than one at a time. I click one to restore, perfectly fine, I click more than 1? It just tells me "2 items could not be restored." I try them individually and they work fine. I have ~17,000 files to restore and kind of need them all, please help!

Go to the recycle bin at onedrive.com and scroll down to the last file in the list. Hold down the shift key and select the last file in the list. All of the files should automatically be selected. Now click on "Restore".

If you're experiencing issues restoring multiple files from the OneDrive recycle bin, it may be due to limitations in the OneDrive interface. Currently, OneDrive allows users to restore files individually or in small groups, but restoring a large number of files at once can lead to errors, as you've encountered.

Here are a few suggestions to help you restore your files more efficiently:

    1. Restore in Batches: Since you can restore files individually, consider restoring them in smaller batches instead of trying to restore all at once. This may help avoid the error message.
    2. Use the OneDrive Web Interface: Make sure you are using the OneDrive web interface to restore your files, as it may provide a more stable experience than the desktop app.
    3. Check for Updates: Ensure that your OneDrive application is up to date, as updates can sometimes resolve bugs and improve functionality.
    4. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance with restoring your files.

Unfortunately, there is no native feature in OneDrive that allows for bulk restoration of files beyond the limitations you've encountered.
