    No need to apologize.

When you are in Windows settings, were you able to find Windows Update > Update History?

Once you get into that page, scroll down and find Uninstall Updates

From here, look for the KB number, if you find it, uninstall it.

If you have a POP account with a .PST file in your Outlook Profile, this Support article may apply:

See if you have new update available, particularly KB5078127  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/january-24-2026-kb5078127-os-builds-26200-7628-and-26100-7628-out-of-band-cf5777f6-bb4e-4adb-b9cd-2b64df577491

If not, go to Windows Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Updates Look for KB5074109 and uninstall it for now. Restart the computer and then see if it improves.

If Outlook keeps crashing and going into "Not Responding" when you try to open an email or click anywhere, there are several potential causes and solutions you can explore:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that you have installed the latest updates for Outlook. Sometimes, outdated software can lead to performance issues.
    2. Safe Mode: Start Outlook in Safe Mode by running Outlook /safe from the Run dialog (Windows + R). This can help identify if add-ins are causing the problem. If it works fine in Safe Mode, consider disabling add-ins one by one to find the culprit.
    3. Repair Office: You can repair your Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, right-click on your Office installation, and select Repair.
    4. Create a New Profile: Sometimes, a corrupted user profile can cause issues. You can create a new Outlook profile through Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add.
    5. Run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant: This tool can help diagnose and fix issues with Outlook. Make sure you are using the same Windows device that has Outlook installed.
    6. Check Antivirus Software: Ensure your antivirus software is up-to-date and not conflicting with Outlook. Sometimes, antivirus settings can interfere with email applications.
    7. Repair Outlook Data Files: Use the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) to repair any corrupted Outlook data files.

If you have already tried these solutions without success, you may want to consider performing a clean boot to eliminate any startup programs or services that might be causing the issue.
