You can get officially certified in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel through Microsoft’s Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications. These are the main industry-recognized certifications for Microsoft 365 Apps (formerly Office 365). Each app usually has its own exam, such as MOS Word Associate, Excel Associate, Excel Expert, and PowerPoint Associate. You register for the exams through authorized testing providers like Certiport, and you can take them at approved testing centers or sometimes online with remote proctoring.

Microsoft Learn itself does not grant the certification directly, but it is one of the main free training platforms Microsoft provides to help you prepare for the MOS exams. On Microsoft Learn you can follow learning paths for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 productivity skills, complete hands-on modules, and build the exact skills measured in the exams. After you feel ready, you schedule and pay for the official certification exam separately through the testing provider.
