Now that I have completed the purchase using the free trial I should be able to access my documents. But the Aps keep telling me to activate and pay. What is wrong and how do I fix this so I can get to my documents and edit them freely?

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Please sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services and confirm that your Microsoft 365 trial shows as Active. Is it showing there?

If it is active, open any Office app (like Word or Excel), go to File > Account, and click "Update License" to refresh your subscription status.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions or concerns.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

Regards,

John J.D.

If you're experiencing issues with Microsoft 365 apps asking you to activate after completing your free trial, it may be due to a few reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Subscription Status: Make sure that your subscription is active. You can do this by logging into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and checking under Billing > Your products.
    2. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Sometimes, simply signing out of your Microsoft 365 account and signing back in can resolve activation issues. Open a Microsoft 365 app, select your name or profile picture, choose Sign out, and then sign back in with your account.
    3. Ensure Correct Account: Make sure you are signed in with the account that has the trial subscription. If you are using a personal Microsoft account instead of a Work or School account, this could cause issues.
    4. Run the Microsoft 365 Sign-in Troubleshooter: You can use the Microsoft 365 sign-in troubleshooter to help resolve sign-in issues. This tool can guide you through steps to fix the problem.
    5. Check License Assignment: If you are part of an organization, ensure that your user account has the necessary licenses assigned. You may need to contact your Microsoft 365 administrator for assistance with this.
    6. Update Microsoft 365: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 apps are up to date. Open any app, go to File > Account, and check for updates under Update options.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reinstalling the Microsoft 365 apps or contacting Microsoft support for further assistance.
