My PC (Windows 11) does not show up on my MS account

My PC used to show up - re-installed 6 weeks ago and now it does not show up. I have checked account type (it is Microsoft Account, not local). I have tried adding my device (does not work, answer is that the serial number is not recognized - this is a Dell machine and I use the service tag as serial). How to proceed?

The method to add a device to your Microsoft account using a serial number is only available for Microsoft manufactured devices, like a Surface laptop... etc.

There is a widely reported problem with devices not showing on the Microsoft account online even though the devices are correctly linked, it is a server side issue that Microsoft needs to fix.

Ensure you log into those devices with the Microsoft account and that Location Services is enabled for all apps and also the 'Find My Device' setting is enabled, those devices should then appear on your account once Microsoft have resolved the problem on their side.
