storage exceeded in outlook after purchasing MS 365 subscription

I paid for a yearly subscription to Microsoft 365 (3/4/26) that states I have access to outlook, it's there on my manage my account page. when I open outlook, it tells me I can't send or receive email because I am "over the storage limit" so I click manage storage; in one spot it shows that I am over the limit and tells me to buy storage, this link leads me back to the subscription page, where I purchased the subscription 3/4/26. If I click below on email storage it shows I have used 0% of storage available. It also indicates (in the total used area) that the issue is with the OneDrive, that I have exceeded the storage limit, but I just purchased MS 365 yesterday and when I check online (OneDrive) it shows that I have plenty of space on the OneDrive that I have used less than 28 GB of the 1 TB available. I don't understand, what is not connecting or what am I doing wrong? I paid for it, why can't I use it? Thank you!

Never mind, I solved it myself, I just needed to unlink OneDrive from my computer, delete a file, and relink OneDrive. thanks anyway.
