Problem updating to the latest preview insider channel build

Hi there, so I'm tryin' to update from v 29531.1000.rs_prerelease.262026-1841 to v 29550.1000 (rs_prerelease), every time it tries to update that at the very last restart, a screen appears sayin' "Undoing changes made to your computer..." I've tried a few times to update, but this is always the outcome. Any idea on how to fix this?

Zoey,

They're seems to be an issue with the

Repair option, because it should be

trying to reinstall 29531 not 29550.

Two choices:

Pause updates til the next build or

Backup important files, docs, etc. and

do a clean install.

Could "reset PC" with these settings be a good option too?

You could try that, but you would lose

all your pics, docs, etc. unless you back

those up first.

i did tried and not even this is workin' so I'm endin' up judt doin' a good old clean install hopin' everythin' goes smoothly at least with that

Are you making sure to use the Reinstall

not the 1 above that?

Hi Zoey,

Are there 2 hidden folders on the root of the drive that got added when you ran WU. Offhand I can't recall the names, but they would include setup files. If there are, clear them as well as the other commands mentioned by CK.

I can't check the update repair option as my device is at 29550

I'm endin' up just doin' a clean install of Win11 hopin' everythin' goes well, since even the "reset pc" option doesn't work
