I bought a Minecraft game code from Amazon. It was automatically applied to the wrong Microsoft account. How do i get it to my desired account?

Hi William,

I wish I had a better answer for you, but technically you cannot "undo" the redemption to a specific account. Maybe Microsoft support has some ideas:

Please contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Please go to the https://support.microsoft.com/contactus page

Type "Billing" and press Enter.

Please click on the "Contact support" button at the bottom.

Select the Product and Category for support based on your requirements.

The available support methods will be shown to you.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

Once a Microsoft or Xbox gift card / game code has been redeemed to a Microsoft account, it cannot be moved to a different account. The balance or entitlement (such as a Minecraft license) is permanently tied to the account where the code was redeemed.

To use the game on the desired account, the only supported options are:

    1. If the code was not yet redeemed on Microsoft’s side but was associated incorrectly by the retailer (for example, via an Amazon digital delivery issue), contact the retailer (Amazon) and request help or a refund/replacement tied to the correct account.
    2. Purchase Minecraft again on the correct Microsoft account and use that account going forward.

Microsoft support and account tools do not provide a way to transfer a redeemed code or its value between Microsoft accounts.
