Forgot my mail to my old account
Hey, I forgot my mail linked to my old account. I own 2 minecraft java accounts one which is my main and one which is my alt, sadly I forgot the mail from my second account and since clean installed windows all my passwords are gone. I do have both my main and alt linked to my namemc.com profile and my namemc.com profile is linked to my current email address. I tried checking the mails I have connected to my phone and it showed both of them, except only parts not the full emails e.g. J****gmail.com How can I retrieve the account now?

Follow these steps:
- Check whether each email address is a Microsoft account
- Go to the Microsoft account sign‑in page at
https://account.microsoft.comand enter each email address that might be linked to the old Minecraft account. - If the message says “We couldn't find an account with that username” or “That Microsoft account doesn't exist”, that address is not a Microsoft account (or the account was closed). See: How to check if your email address is a Microsoft account.
- If a password prompt appears, that email is a Microsoft account.
- Go to the Microsoft account sign‑in page at
- Use the Sign‑in Helper if the email/username is unclear
- If the email or username is forgotten or only partially visible in other services, use the Sign‑in Helper tool to try to locate the correct Microsoft account:
- Use the “Sign-in Helper tool” linked from the “I can’t sign in to my Microsoft account” article.
- If the email or username is forgotten or only partially visible in other services, use the Sign‑in Helper tool to try to locate the correct Microsoft account:
- Look for Microsoft purchase/receipt emails
- Check all email inboxes that might have been used over the years (including old or secondary addresses) for:
- Purchase receipts for Minecraft Java or other Microsoft purchases.
- Emails from Microsoft about account security, sign‑ins, or Xbox.
- The article Check products or services where you used your Microsoft account recommends searching email accounts for Microsoft receipts; these often show which address is tied to the Microsoft account.
- Check all email inboxes that might have been used over the years (including old or secondary addresses) for:
- If the account email is found but the password is lost
- Once the correct Microsoft account email is identified, reset the password:
- Use Forgot password? on the Microsoft account sign‑in page and follow the steps in Reset your password.
- Once the correct Microsoft account email is identified, reset the password:
- If the account cannot be found or is reported as not existing
- If the sign‑in page consistently reports that the account doesn’t exist, it may have been closed or deleted:
- See How to check if your email address is a Microsoft account and I can't sign in to my Microsoft account for details.
- If the account has been inactive for more than two years, it may have been permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
- If the sign‑in page consistently reports that the account doesn’t exist, it may have been closed or deleted:
If none of the above steps reveal the old email address, there is no supported way to recover or reconstruct it purely from external services like NameMC; Microsoft support cannot bypass the official recovery and sign‑in tools.
