Hi,

I am trying to join/login for the Microsoft Azure Virtual Training Day: Fundamentals – Part 1 (scheduled for March 30, 2026). I am using my personal Gmail address, which is linked to my Microsoft Learn account. When I visit the login page (hosted on event.on24.com) and enter my email, I receive the following error immediately:

“Login Failed. Please try again.”

The invite email i received:

What I have already tried:

  • Verified that my Microsoft account is active and I can sign in at account.microsoft.com.
  • Used incognito/private mode and a different browser.
  • Attempted login from a different device.

Invite link:

https://event.on24.com/wcc/r/5180089/891EC095C4E9A8360D9AE4BBB498A969 (the same as the invitation I received).

Could you please help me resolve this login failure so that I'm able to attend tomorrow's(March 31, 2026) part-2 session?

I have contacted ON24 chat support (https://support.on24.com/hc/en-us/sections/20952746518939-Support). After confirming that my email is not registered on their end, the agent asked me to contact Microsoft support (https://www.aka.ms/credentialssupport). Below is the answer from Microsoft Support.

"We’ve confirmed that the login issue you experienced was caused by a synchronization delay between the EMC system and the ON24 event registration. The good news is that this has now been identified, allowing us to guide you toward a smooth resolution.

As the session you originally registered for has already concluded, the recommended next step is to re-register for the next available Microsoft Virtual Training Day, where you should be able to join without any issues."

    Hope this helps.

The error is occurring on the external event platform (ON24), not on Microsoft Learn or the Microsoft account sign-in itself, so the issue is likely with the event registration/session rather than the Microsoft account.

Based on the available guidance, the most effective next steps are:

    1. Try a clean browser context
      • Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser.
      • Clear all site data/cache/cookies for the browser.
      • Close and reopen the browser.
      • Open a new InPrivate/Incognito window and try the invite link again.
Similar sign-in issues for Azure and Learn have been resolved by fully signing out and clearing site data before retrying sign-in.
    2. Try a different browser and network
      • Use a different browser than already tried (for example, Chrome if using Edge/Safari, or Edge if using Chrome).
      • If possible, switch to a different network (for example, mobile hotspot instead of corporate VPN/Wi‑Fi) and try the link again.
    3. Confirm the account and email used
      • Ensure the same personal account used for Microsoft Learn is the one entered on the ON24 login page.
      • If the email address was changed or aliased in the Microsoft account, confirm that the exact email in the event registration/invite is what is being entered.
    4. Use private browsing for any related Microsoft Learn sign-in
      • If the event requires being signed into Microsoft Learn in the same browser, sign into Microsoft Learn first in an InPrivate/Incognito window, then open the event link in the same window. This approach is recommended for resolving various Learn sign-in and training-flow issues.
    5. Contact event/support directly
      • Because the login form and validation are controlled by the event provider (ON24) and/or the event organizer, if the above steps do not work, the only way to fix the specific event login is through their support:
        • Use the support or help contact provided in the event invitation or event page (often in the email footer or event confirmation page).
        • Provide the event name, date, and the exact error message “Login Failed. Please try again.” along with the email address used for registration.
      • For general Microsoft account access issues (if any arise), use the Microsoft account recovery and sign‑in helper tools described in the references below.

These steps mirror how similar sign-in and access issues for Azure and Microsoft Learn training are typically resolved: clearing browser data, using private browsing, switching browsers/networks, and escalating to the event/support channel when the external event system is rejecting a valid account.
