Conversations involving multiple participants, allowing collaboration and information sharing in Teams
Dear @Josh Fisher,
Thank you for taking the time to share the detailed steps, screenshots, and the testing you’ve already completed.
Based on my review, this behavior appears to be related to how the Microsoft Teams client handles full URLs in the message editor.
For better assist, please kindly let me know some information:
- Could you please let me know whether other users in your organization are experiencing the same issue?
- Additionally, do you encounter this behavior when using Teams on the web?
- Apart from updating to the newer Teams version, have there been any other recent updates or changes made to your computer?
Recommended temporary workarounds:
Use keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl + V to paste normally
- Ctrl + Shift + V to paste the full URL as plain text
- If available, use Paste as plain text from the right‑click menu
As a next step, I recommend continuing with the workarounds above and reporting this issue directly to the Teams product team by navigating to: Settings > Feedback > Report a problem
In addition, if other users in your organization are experiencing the same issue, I recommend contacting your IT administrator to report this through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Submitting the issue from the admin side helps ensure it is more visible and can reach the Teams product team more effectively.
Your company’s Global Admins can also report the issue in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center via Service Health, as shown in the screenshot below.
I completely understand your frustration. Please note that I have escalated this issue to my supervisor. However, as a community moderator, my role is to provide guidance and simple fixes; I do not have the ability to directly influence or expedite the engineering team's troubleshooting process. I appreciate you're understanding on this matter.
Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as Microsoft works to fully resolve this.
Thank you again for your time and understanding. Hope you have a great day!!
