To share an image in Microsoft Teams desktop, use one of these supported methods:
- In a chat or channel, go to the message box.
- Select Attach files (paperclip icon) next to Type a new message.
- Choose one of the following:
- Upload from my computer → pick the picture → Open.
- Attach cloud files → pick the picture from OneDrive/SharePoint → Open.
- Optionally type a message, then select Send.
Alternatively, copy an image and paste it directly into the message box using Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac). If pasting from another app or browser does not work, use Attach files as above to upload the image instead.
If the issue is with a web experience like Viva Engage inside Teams and pasting fails only there, contact the IT department to check browser/clipboard restrictions as described for Viva Engage.
