Hello,

I have a shared excel and I am trying to insert the row but it doesn't insert the row. I am able to copy/cut/paste data but not able to insert/delete row. It is only happening with one excel sheet, any other exiting and new excel sheet works as it should.

I tried doing it on web browser and on web browser it says we encountered an error.

For troubleshooting:

I tried different browser

I repaired the M365 installation

I repaired the excel sheet

I copy/pasted data into new excel but in new excel sheet, same error.

Created copy of the file but still same.

Please let me know how to fix this file specific error as we cannot recreate it from scratch as it has so many data and formulas.

Thank you

I think the core failure is a snapped used‑range map blocking row ops, so try Ctrl+A→Delete→save→reopen first. If it still won’t clear, turn off shared mode once and copy the sheet into a new one as vals‑only to force a clean map rebuild.
