I have some 'OLD' drivers from previous huawei phone that are persistently remaining, and blocking me from turning on memory Integrity. I have 'RE-installed' and UN-installed the associated program with NO Luck.

Erik - After the above did not work, I went back to Huawei and 're-tried' one of their solutions.

First, the HiSuite needs to be completely 'Installed', I had Un-Installed the program and had 'orphan drivers' blocking the Memory Integrity. Following their advice to 'Re-Install the program, I then was able to >

1. Press Windows + R key on the keyboard, input “%temp%/../hisuite” and open.(Enter)

2. Go to userdata>driver>all>DriverUninstall. Select and right click DriverUninstall and Run as administrator.

This procedure was successful and I was able to 'Turn On' Memory Integrity. I just wanted to share in case someone else was in my situation.

Hi Eric - Thanks for that advice but it does Not "take effect" - when I 're-try' the Scan, the Same inf files appear. I also went into the Windows / System 32 / drivers and deleted all 6 inf files > Still No good. I was looking on C-drive and found the "Drivers store / Repository" and those same files are there, with addtl data. ie - hw_cdcacm.sys_amd64_3bc77d1a7c89b48d - So, can I delete all of these "hw" files ? I don't want to kill my laptop.

I've also tried Re-booting a couple times to allow "Changes to take effect" to no avail either. And an older Huawei 'Help' Answer gave a couple other options for resolution that were not even viable. I had already "uninstalled" the HiSuite program as the 'beginning' of this travail, and so I 'Re-installed' it and went thru the "H" suggested process, which still left these inf files. Here are the "Villains" >

    Hi Ed,

On the settings page where you try to turn on Memory integrity, the driver blocking activation is shown, next to it should be a clickable arrow down that expands the details revealing the oem##.inf

open an elevated prompt and run

    pnputil.exe /delete-driver oem##.inf

(replacing the ## with the correct number)

This will remove the driver if not in use, once successful enabling Memory integrity should work fine

    Hope this helps,
