Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Open the Safari Web browser on your Mac.

Start an incognito tab and sign in with your Microsoft account here-

https://onedrive.live.com/

You can view all your files online and should be able to download them on your Mac.

Regarding the OneDrive desktop app, could you please share the exact error message you see on the device?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive? This may resolve any sync issues you are experiencing.

If OneDrive is blocked only on the Mac but the account itself is still available, the sync connection and/or local credentials on the Mac are likely the problem. Use these steps to regain access to the data:

    1. Confirm the account is not globally blocked
      • If seeing a message like “Your account is currently unavailable” when trying to access OneDrive in a browser, the account may be temporarily blocked due to traffic, suspicious activity, or a policy issue.
      • In that case, go to the Microsoft services account reset page and follow the on-screen instructions to check status and reactivate the account. If the block was triggered by recent verification or heavy sharing, it can clear automatically within 24 hours.
    2. Unlink OneDrive on the Mac
      • Click the OneDrive cloud icon in the macOS menu bar.
      • Select Help & Settings > Preferences.
      • Open the Account tab.
      • Select Unlink this Mac.
      • This does not delete files in the cloud; it only disconnects the Mac from OneDrive temporarily.
    3. Clear OneDrive sign-in credentials on the Mac
      • Open Spotlight, type Keychain Access, and open it (or open it from Applications > Utilities).
      • In Keychain Access, search for OneDrive.
      • Delete the entry named OneDrive Cached Credential.
      • If needed, an alternative is: in Keychain Access, choose Window > Keychain Access, then File > Delete Keychain [OneDrive/Office/MS], and click Delete References.
    4. Re-link OneDrive and resync files
      • Use Spotlight to search for OneDrive and open it.
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for OneDrive.
      • When prompted that a OneDrive folder already exists, choose Use this folder (or Choose new folder if a different location is preferred).
      • OneDrive will reconnect and start syncing. Existing cloud data remains intact; placeholders may be downloaded first and full files as needed.

If the account itself is blocked (cannot sign in anywhere, including the browser), it must be reactivated first using the Microsoft services account reset page before the Mac client can sync or open data again.
